Janet E. MacFarlane earned her Master’s degree and trauma treatment certificate post LCSW-C from the School of Social Work at the University of Maryland at Baltimore, UMAB. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio State University and attended the Mathesuis Werke Schule in Kiel, Germany for a year as an art student.
Janet enjoys working at CCA Inc. with adults, teens and children. Her experience involves working in public schools and facilities, hospitals settings and with children and families at risk. Janet is thankful she was able to volunteer for one year in Hong Kong through YWAM working with children and their families in a refugee camp.
Janet provides psychotherapy for adults, teens and children. She specializes in trauma treatment, panic and other anxiety disorders, abandonment and grief issues as well as providing therapy for people diagnosed with anxiety and depression.
Janet sees her work as providing a safe environment where people can feel comfortable sharing their fears and experiences – where issues can be resolved and with new awareness and God’s guidance.
